Only primary amines show carbylamine test whereas secondary and tertiary amines fail to undergo the carbylamine test. Since, primary amines need more amount of heat to break these hydrogen bonds, it have higher boiling points. Therefore, primary amines have a higher boiling point than tertiary amines.
